Finally the moment the whole world has been waiting for (since the last one anyway). THE 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP in beautiful SOUTH AFRICA!!! Now you might not know this but in South Africa house music is like a religion. So let's kick off this post with the best religion in the world. HOUSE MUSIC!!!
After one month long hiatus due to hardware problems GUARO IS BACK!!! I have been really missing posting for all you fine people, and i got stuff to make up for it. For now since I'm putting my feet back the water, i'm going to share with you a nice little bootleg of mine. After that I will post some new tracks and my lastest mixset that is sure to please. But for now look out for those Commies Commies Commies!!! VIVA LA REVOLUCION!!!
Here getting ready for the night, i was messing around and got some ideas to remake some songs. So here are three i remade this afternoon, and one i made a while ago but never posted it. Let me know what you think.
La Mafia Rumbera - 1,2,3,4 (Rivera & Guaro Remix) <--- MY Fav Song of the moment but after listening to it bunch of times, i thought the last breakdown is missing something so i added the trumpets and it sounds soooo much better (No offense Robbie)
So last night Miojo, Junior, and I just simply killed it. We played some of the hottest tracks and just leveled the place. Everyone got drunk, danced, jumped, cheered, the whole nine. SO next week we are doing it again. So I wanna see 3 times the amount of people to experience the amazingness.
So today's post isn't music related. Since we also do movies and havent done it in a while, here it is. I was pretty excited for this one, and can't wait to trip all over again (if you know what I mean). ALSO IT'S IN 3D!!!!!! So enjoy my friends.
Well I havent done it in a while but here it is again. Feature artist of the week. You really might not know who this artist is from just looking at the picture. But you'll be surprised by who it is. Now I dont want you to think i'm arrogant or whatever, but the FEATURE ARTIST OF THE WEEK IS -drum roll- ......... Dj Guaro. LOL yea me. I kinda wanted to share some of my bootlegs to the world and let you amazing viewers to know a little more about one of the guys that brings you GREAT HOUSE regularly (i kno not recently... dont remind me).
The funny thing is alot of my friends dont even know my name, they just call me guaro. LOL So lets start off with that. My name is Sebastian Parra and i was born in the kick ass city of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Me being of Colombian background music is a way of life. My career as a Dj all started with a mix cd. One day i just sat down and picked out some songs just for myself, then at a new years party I played it and everyone fell in love with it and wanted more. After making everyone dance and have fun it inspired me to make and play music for everyone to enjoy. With help from my uncle Dj Alex (Number 1 Dj in Illinois btw) I started mixing at parties and formal gatherings. After hearing some music from famous Colombian Dj's like Eric Morillo, and Mario Ochoa, as well as Robbie Rivera I FELL IN LOVE WITH HOUSE. And it all went from there.
So now you a little more about me and now its time for what you've all been waiting for. THE MASSIVELY KICK ASS BOOTLEGS MADE BY THE ONE AND ONLY DJ GUARO!!!
WEEEEEEEELCOME BACK GUARO!!!!!! LOL i'm back and blacker than ever. Sorry to everyone for not posting but i've been dealing with some family stuff so i havent had time for anything. But i'm back and lets get this party started.
Well if havent already found out, this week's feature artist of the week is my idol Mr. Juicy, ROBBIE RIVERA!!!
Rivera grew in Puerto Rico, he was a fan of Freestyle and Eurobeat when he bought two turntables to test himself in becoming a dj. He has learned the hard way and teaching himself how to deejay. Rivera used to play at weddings and school party gigs in which common deejays start off with (kinda like yours truly), but it was his natural talent that he used while working with the crowds that kept him playing in big clubs at age of 16. After graduation and high school, Robbie went to the Art Institute at Fort Lauderdale, FL to study music production and was introduced to many different digital audio tools. While in college he released hi first record, "Sorulla"; A track influenced by the Latin House. The track became popular in New York and Miami and his career was underway. After major hits he has defintly travelled the world. As it says on his website: "His dj sets contaiong his infectous blend of tough sexy grooves have put him in high-demand. On a contiuous world-tour, and with a diary resembling an airport departure board his music has recently packed-ot the dance-floors of Ibiza, Barcelona, South America, Poland, Puerto Rico, NYC, L.A., Chicago, London, Asia, Italy, Tunisia, Canada, Moscow, Australia, Vienna, and of course his hometown of Miami." SOOP WOOP!!!
As well as a dj he is a very sucessful producer with his record label Juicy Records. His Label motto "This Music is Juicy" In which it is very much.
Ok nuff of me talkin, lets get to the tunage. And in honor of Robbie i made my own Juicy mix for all of you. Here we go. Robbie Rivera - Guaro's Juicy Rivera Mix
Tracklist: Alex Gaudino, Nari & Milani - I'm A Dj (Robbie Rivera Remix)
You what really grinds my gears? Bad dj's!!! Over the last week i have had to the opportunity to go to two clubs scoop in Boca Raton, and Living Room in Fort Lauderdale. Both motha fuck times it kinda killed my experience because of bad dj's. First dude (scoop dj) mixin was oooooook.... but didnt play enough good music to keep me entertained. Second guy (now at the living room) real cheesy guy played some great music but mixing was horrible!!!! When i say horrible i mean like i wanted to jump in the booth myself and say bitch im takin over. He played the same god damn sample over and over and over every 5 sec. and he cut the music randomly and i was wtf mate. But yea why dont these nice clubs give actual good dj's a chance (not pointing any bows GUARO & MIOJO!!!). So come on people tell your local club or venue that real dj's with real HOUSE music and real talent are here to blow yall away!!!!................. and now for your regularly scheduled program.
